Growing up in Dublin, Ireland, David had a passion for entrepreneurship, even as a young child he was one of the most industrious kids in the neighborhood. Training in Construction Technology at 3rd Level he moved firstly to San Francisco and New York in the 1990s working in Construction Project Management for mid mid-sized commercial contractors.
Realizing the normal day-to-day career was limiting and rigid he decided to burn his boats and in the early 2000’s begin a new journey starting up several small high cash flowing businesses and generating wealth through personal real estate investments.
In 2005 seeing the personal returns Real Estate was delivering, David moved into Real Estate investing full time. David always focused on high quality cash flowing assets and concentrated primarily in emerging markets like Berlin, Buenos Aires, Panama, Latvia, Belize, Bucharest and UK student housing.
In 2008 he could see there was a once in a lifetime buying opportunity in distressed US cash flowing assets with a huge devalued currency upside, primarily in Florida. He relocated back to the USA in 2008 to focus on this opportunity. David uncovered a niche opportunity sourcing highly distressed US condominium communities that provided reliable income producing investments for his European clients. This large portfolio continues to build wealth and provide positive cash flow and financial stability for his clients to this day.
As time went on and with the “financial crisis” in the rear view mirror, David evolved his business and built an efficient team to buy and renovate foreclosed single family homes for his investor base. David was able to take neglected homes and beautifully transform them for the rental market, ensuring very little tenant turnover. This efficient “Template Model” ensured a hugely scalable system renovating over 750 homes and holding many more.
Over the past 17 years in full time real estate and having coached hundreds of investors “one on one”, David has observed the gaps in confidence and understanding “how it works” that even the most well educated investors suffer from that can have an enormous impact on financial outcomes.
Having achieved personal freedom from day to day financial anxiety, he has come to realize the value of action taking and the value of time and thinking strategically long term to fundamentally free oneself to live a life following your own personal interests and passions.
David now wishes to share the lessons and empirical observations he has made assisting wildly successful investors and distinguishes the behaviors and mindset of those that do not achieve success. He believes firmly that anyone can achieve personal financial freedom and wealth by implementing a very simple Wealth Building strategy.
Clark Lunt is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in Communications / Journalism. His passion for real estate started in college after living with 7 other roommates his senior year and noticed that the landlord was basically printing money every month with this “shack of a house” with very minimal work. That’s where the light bulb went off.
From 2006 - 2012, Clark bought a house every year or every other year by saving up enough for the down payment and implemented the house hacking strategy with a total of 25 different roommates all while working a W-2 sales job. In 2015, he burned his boats, quit his job, started a wholesaling / Flipping business with the experience & confidence that he gained over that six year period to go “all in”. Over the next 6 years, he bought/sold or wholesaled 250+ properties w/ 90% via direct to seller marketing.
In the beginning of 2021, he joined David and Kathryn Shaw and created a dynamic team where they successfully flipped 18 properties. In 2022 they doubled the previous year's success with 47 properties and a net income of $1.2 Million. What you don’t see is the quiet & unassuming buying and NOT selling of a portfolio that Clark has grown to just shy of $8 million in value over an 18 year period. He has burned his boats multiple times throughout his career, and delayed gratification many times to create this wealth vehicle that works 24/7 and doesn’t intend on stopping any time. His passion for this last point is what drives him to share his highs & lows of what it takes to leverage capital, delay gratification, brands, marketing and talented help around him to achieve something much bigger than he could on his own.
When he is not doing real estate, Clark’s true passion is traveling internationally. Having been to 21 countries and over 50 cities & he has only just begun. Exercising and healthy living is very important to him as our time is so precious, and he strives to be able to enjoy every piece of it! Clark is always sending out positive vibes to the universe and always sees his glass as half full.
